What does A3W mean?
The name comes from a fortune cookie I received in 2012 that read: “You have a charming way with words and should write a book.”
That small sentence stuck. Not because it was prophetic—but because it named something I already knew to be true: words mattered to me, and I wanted to understand how they worked. I’ve been reading, writing, editing, and thinking about craft ever since.
About A3W Editorial
A3W Editorial grew out of my own experience as a writer navigating revision, feedback, and the often-confusing world of editing. I know firsthand how frustrating it can be to receive notes without clarity—or to invest time and money fixing the wrong things.
That’s why my work as an editor is grounded in process, intention, and clarity.
I specialize in helping writers understand what their manuscript needs and when—whether that’s developmental guidance, structural feedback, or sentence-level refinement. My approach prioritizes strong foundations before polish, so revision feels purposeful instead of overwhelming.
Who I work with
I work with a wide range of clients, including:
While I’m based in the Kansas City area, I work with clients worldwide through virtual services.
The goal
Good editing doesn’t erase your voice. It helps it come through more clearly. A3W Editorial exists to help writers revise with confidence—by fixing the right thing first.
If you’re unsure what kind of editing your manuscript needs—or whether you’re ready for professional edits yet—that’s completely normal.
If you’d prefer to ask a quick question before booking a consultation, you’re welcome to reach out by email. I’m happy to help clarify the difference between developmental editing, line editing, copyediting, and proofreading so you can make an informed decision about next steps.
